If only this nasty north wind would go
And give us a break for a day or so.
However it's going to leave us today,
Thank goodness! And while it's away
From elsewhere will come snow
And a south wind will blow.
Mind you, though, this won't be the end.
More winter's coming and just 'round the bend.
The ground hog told us on February second.
He forecast this weather and also reckoned
That likely for another six weeks,
We'd have snow on the ground and ice in the creeks.
So let's just enjoy it and not complain.
We'd rather be here than in Bahrain
Or in Egypt or Libya
Or Yemen or Tunisia
Or any place ruled by a dictator,
That's destined to collapse sooner or later.
Just ride on your snowplow
And continue to shovel.
Keep telling yourself, "It's really no trouble...
Compared to rocks and bombs and rubble."
And when evening comes and it's time for bed
You're tired but cozy and can rest your head.
Cold winds and snow won't make us unhappy,
Mubarak would switch and so would Gadhafi.
