It takes a full 60 minutes of hockey

What I had read in The Citizen, and the comments by some of our long time favourite players, explained the season perfectly.

What I had read in The Citizen, and the comments by some of our long time favourite players, explained the season perfectly.

This article should have been written one month ago, with the player excerpts included, expressing their feelings and mental notes of what are all so clear now.

Sixty minutes, it's all you have to prove you were paying attention.

We always reflect back on the things that went wrong, positives to be taken away for future encounters. I love this team and the excitement they exulted. They were on top of the world and we the fans as well.

But, always a but, they were handed losses, by the hands of youth, imagine that, youth being dominated by youth.

More or less it was hunger V's stuffed, the feasting on pasted wins, turned to famine in what is known now, future failures.

Nothing new, it's what the coach kept reiterating, while we were staring with stars and spangled banners in our eyes.

The game of hockey is and always will be a lesson in paying attention and using your skills and 60 minutes to prove it.

No guarantee that the other team wasn't listening. May your future dreams, reflect back on your past learnings, and to make the clock a very big part of your game, every minute spent on the ice and out of the box, your success in future endeavors.

Go Cougars go!
