My name is Steven Russell and I am not the same Steven Russell as the Steven James Russell, who was born in 1989 and has been convicted of assault with a weapon and breach of a probation order that has appeared in the Citizen court report numerous times.
This information can be found in
public court records online.
I'd like to make it very clear that Steven James Russell mentioned in the Citizen court report is in no way related to myself, and is most certainly not the same Steven Russell with a different middle name, who grew up in P.G. since 1966 and moved away a short number of years ago.
I have never been a suspect, charged or convicted of any crime. Ever.
I believe the way in which the Citizen presents its court report is dangerously flawed and not responsible reporting.
The courts know who they are dealing with, but the public doesn't.
Although I think the report information is one of value, I feel that without posting a photo of the person convicted of the crime, you may be causing unjust harm to the innocent.
At the very least, their age should be posted along with their crime and
sentence.
I have not committed a crime but here I am having to clear my good name after growing up in P.G.
