Investigate deadly highway section

Some research should be done about this section of highway ["Collision kills three," The Citizen, Dec. 15]. The winter maintenance for this section has been atrocious in the past few years.

The winter maintenance for this section has been atrocious in the past few years. I live in Fraser Lake and travel this section just about every week. The difference between the maintenance on that section and that of the YRB section between Vanderhoof and PG is like night and day. I have complained to our MLA and he's doing something about it, but it appears there are some contractual problems that have to be overcome.

Obviously, there is a problem there. When I was going home from P.G. and following some YRB plow trucks just out of town, I was happy to see that they were going to with the contractors. Mr. Rustad informed me that he may ask that the Vanderhoof contractors may have their territory extended past Bednesti towards P.G. So he sees it as a problem with the contractors as well.

That is one solution. In the meantime, how many more people are going to be killed or injured before something is done about it? How many people have been killed in the past five years on that section? I would venture a guess and say that at least a dozen?

Maybe you can do something about it with a story - remember, it could be one of your relatives or friends who are involved in an accident in this area.
