If the underlying details and quotes are correctly stated, I agree with Neil Godbout's analysis and verdict of our city council's transaction. The decision of good intentions seems to be driven by a single goal and a simplistic analysis, missing a wide range of potential long and short-term effects. It also sends an insulting message to those who have invested downtown without such special terms.
