Public Safety Minister Goodale and RCMP Ass. Comm. Marlin Degrande states that Somali refugee was properly vetted both in 2012 and 2015.
Goodale also states that he crossed the border legally. Said Somali was deported from the U.S.A. and was awaiting deportation therefore was a fugitive when he crossed the border illegally.
Secondly he was investigated for potential terror group affiliation in 2015 in Canada. The RCMP and Goodale knew or should have known about the deportation order and why it was issued.
That in itself should have been enough to deny entry and with the investigation in 2015 should have been a red flag for sure. Flagrant display of incompetency puts Canadians at a high risk of this happening again. Both should resign.
