I look forward to opening up the morning paper and reading about city council finding further ways to squander our tax dollars.
Instead of this $51-million arts centre that is neither wanted nor needed, why doesn't the city consider spending this money on purchasing that machine that chews up the old pavement and spits out new smooth pavement. Why hire this company from, I believe, Fort St. John?
In reality our city is big enough to own a machine such as this. Just think of the money that would eventually free up, you might even attract more people to the area if the roads were in better condition.
Should we have an arts centre or better roads? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the answer to that one.
