I read today's editorial "Asking for civility in the civic election." I agree with the thrust of your message, and I also agree with many of the specific points that you made.
But I don't understand, why you started out with an attack on Ms. Green and her e-mail, quoting the juicy part of her message, while mentioning Mr. Rogers almost in passing as "not being totally innocent in this spat."
When I read Mr. Roger's announcement, I had only one reaction: condescending and arrogant towards his rival candidate. And this opening shot came from a man who is pounding his chest as the seasoned operator, highlighting "discipline and years of experience."
I hope your editorial is not an endorsement at this early stage, before your suggested exchange of "well-reasoned ideas" has even begun.
