I have had my faith in humanity renewed through a person's integrity and a business's honest employee. I ordered my lunch at the Fuji Japan restaurant on the corner of 3rd and Victoria. It was very busy and the staff and I got distracted between my special order, explaining to the cook and the crowd. The staff gave me my change but there was concern as to if he took my $20.00. The till was closed with my change showing on the screen but we couldn't remember if I did indeed give him the money. At first it seemed so but I couldn't remember so I gave the staff what I thought might be another $20.00 saying "well if your $20.00 over in your till you will know why".
I never thought about it again until a week later as I walked past the restaurant and the staff came out of a back entrance and said that he was indeed over in his till that day and handed me back my $20. I was floored and so very happy that this person had waited to give me my money, his honesty and integrity and the business for hiring such a great employee. This made my day and I just have to share this moment of renewed trust. Thank you, Fuji Japan employee!
