As a resident of "little MacDonald Avenue, (just off Upland)" the reason that our street gets plowed in the daytime, is the main arteries require a lot more equipment and have to be done after midnight when traffic is minimal and the traffic disruption less chaotic. Having travelled up Carney Street Hill for many years to work it's great to see the snow-clearers hit the short steep hills first like the access road hill off Highway 97 going down to Massey Drive. These roads can be impassable in a very short time or, become a dangerous to stop, rear-end collision spot. Areas above us on MacDonald don't get done until much later because they have less slope. I don't mind cleaning up the extra sand and debris off my lawn in the spring that the city applies to the hills and I'm sure the ambulance attendants appreciate having the quickest access route available into the subdivisions.
