Green not right for China trip

When all the hoopla was happening over Mr. Kinsleys trip to China I never disagreed. In fact I thought the trips were a good idea and a sound expense to the taxpayers in Prince George. Now Mayor Green is going to China with two councilmen.

Now Mayor Green is going to China with two councilmen. That I disagree with, not the trip or the reason. It's still good business and a sound expense to us taxpayers. What's wrong with the trip is sending Mayor Green as Prince George's main representative.

There is no woman's liberation in China. Albeit, wrong by Western civilization standards, the Chinese don't govern themselves by our standards and never will.

Sending a woman to China to represent us as a sister city will only make us look weak and foolish in the eyes of the men who run the Chinese government.

What City Hall should do is approach Mr. Collin Kinsley (with an offer he can't refuse) to go to China once again to represent Prince George not only as an ambassador of sister city ship, but a Canadian representative of economy.

Enbridge will go, the Chinese want that oil and are willing to pay good money for it. Mr.Kinsley by other name is Mr. Enbridge. What with his recent guest editorial being case and point. He's been there and done that and has made more in roads with the Chinese government than Sheri Green has ever dreamt of.

Mayor Green, so far as Mayor you have being doing exactly what I would have done if I were Mayor with the exception of the Core Review. So once again here is some sage advice from an older guy. Send Mr. Kinsley in your stead.

He is a charmer or he would not have been Mayor of Prince George four times in a row.
