Pine Valley Golf Course causing more city trouble? Gee, I wonder why?
I'm not allowed to take my golf car on that "seniors" course and they won't rent me one either. Many seniors aren't capable of walking that course but they love the convenience of it being in the city. Now the city wants someone to put up nearly a million bucks so we can keep a gift that was given to the city long ago.
What do we suppose the city did with the money they made by selling the driving range? Did they wisely invest it or did they foolishly spend it all up grading the golf course? How many of the present council were in favor of selling the driving range? Why would an investor spend money on that course after looking at its history? Will the City shut it down completely after a few years so they can sent a troupe to, say, Dubai this time? I'll manage the course for a ten year term and the city can pay me! There's a weird concept huh?
So many silly questions. Enough I say. Sell the golf course and pave the roads in South Fort George. It was last paved in 1974 and that was the first time it was ever paved.
