Everyday I read another letter, bashing Mayor Sherri Green. Thank you Sherri for stepping up and running for the job of mayor. Most of us would not have the back bone to handle the constant onslaught of negativity. To those who constantly complain about Sherri, give her some time. It takes time to change old school thinking of the city's paid officials who are not elected, running the city instead of the elected council. It takes time and weather conditions to fix the potholes and roads, which I might add, have taken more time than Sherri has been in office to get this way. Yes, Sherri hired an assistant, anyone in business knows that executives have assistants, one they can trust to have their back and be on the same page as them. So could all of you complainers go and enjoy the sunshine or start preparing for the next election, because I was taught that if you are going to complain, either fix it yourself (perhaps you could run for office if you think you could do a better job) or at least have some valuable ideas as to a solution.
