Give SPCA another chance

Robyn, I read your letter and understand wholeheartedly why you stepped out of the SPCA office the other day.

Robyn, I read your letter and understand wholeheartedly why you stepped out of the SPCA office the other day.

I also encountered the same attitude from one particular lady a while back, but after a few days, I realized I was defeating my purpose of adopting. I decided to fill out the application requirements and made a serious effort in choosing a pet wisely.

This time I was ready for any negative encounters and would address it with the head person immediately, but I never came across this lady again.

To my relief, each visit was welcoming, cordial and the staff couldn't do enough to make all efforts for adoption possible. Even a few of the ladies were able to give me opinions on some of the pets' behaviours, which was a bonus.

Please overlook your bad experience and realize that others are trying to make adoptions as pleasant as possible. There's always a rotten apple in the bunch no matter where you go these days.

Hard times are here, and as humans, we sometimes take these experiences and attitudes to an unreasonable level.

Please give an animal a chance for life, and help make our world a better place.
