Clarence and Charlotte Lapp are both now 82 years young and just recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. They both moved to Prince George in the early 1950's. Charlotte arrived in 1950 and worked as a school teacher at Reid Lake. Clarence left Saskatchewan in 1947 when he was 17 and lived in Penny BC where he worked in sawmills as an independent skidder owner operator until he retired in 1999.

I asked the couple what their greatest accomplishment was and the answer was: "We are quite healthy and independent; and together we raised 6 wonderful children who gave us 13 grand children and one great grand child. You can't ask for more than that! We have lived in the same house for 43 years and we are very content".

Charlotte is active at the Elder Citizens Recreation Centre and with the Old Time Fiddlers playing the piano.

They both take time out for other people. In fact they meet with a great group everyday at Wendy's Restaurant just to stay caught up on all the news.

We went down to the soccer fields to watch a few games on the weekend and there we saw Ron Polillo, #21 on his shirt, out there chasing and kicking that black and white ball around the field. Looks like you still have what it takes Ron!
