I see the skyrocketing use of fentynal in all kinds of illicit and illegal drugs. It only takes a tiny amount to kill. All users should take a hard look at their habits. Another point is that parents of these kids should take a more proactive attitude to ward what their children are doing.
To say that governments should spend taxpayers money on prevention isn't working. When these kids quit wetting their pants and begin to feed themselves is the time to instill the proper behavior in the child to have the pride and fortitude to resist and make their way in life in a straight and normal manner. What have we got to do? Set aside acreages for cemeteries to bury these idiot kids in? Nobody was born an addict. This a self-inflicted malady. It's no wonder there is not a lot of sympathy for their plight. You can't blame poverty, it's expensive to maintain any drug habit.
Further, the penalty for dealing drugs should be more severe and immediate. If you're caught with drugs you should be summarily punished, not dragging out the court system and wind up back on the street. If you're going to act like a child you should treated like a child with immediate punishment. How many taxpayer dollars have been spent on the legal system defending this idiot behavior? When it comes to drugs, it should be guilty until proven innocent. It would be cheaper to lock them in a compound and throw the groceries over the fence. They would still be treated better than people in the Middle Eastern countries.
I know this is kind of off the wall, but how much longer are we going to allow our population to spiral into a drug-induced idiocy? I know that some kids are vulnerable and succumb to peer pressure but that wall of resistance can be instilled at home. It's parental neglect and an attitude of irresponsibility that fosters this kind of end result.
I know that people have rights, but when one has rights, someone else has to suffer. Just a few thoughts from a twisted mind.
