Thank you Carol Phillips for opening this discussion of the recent installation in the Gateway.
When "art" provokes controversy it has been successful. Picasso's art assaulted the cultured classes, the Dada movement wreaked havoc, and so it is today with this piece.
The discussion of an artwork is one without an agenda of right or wrong. Moving the critic to speak out is a reflection of the artist's passion within the creation. Congratulations to both the artist and the critic.
To me, it is a joyful masterpiece. Thank you to the artist for allowing me this. Cheers!
