Before he was Vancouver/Whistler Olympic CEO, or even before he was the recreation officer for our city, John Furlong was my teacher, my guardian and my mentor who inspired my passion for sport, basketball in particular.
His love for sport was very contagious. In time, his passion for sport was passed on to my children. Thanks to John, many basketball championships and university scholarships were won. We are very proud and grateful that once upon a time you called Prince George home.
