Prince George is surrounded on three sides - north, west and south - at the moment by forest fires. The smoke finally came to the city this week and seems socked in indefinitely.
Climate change? Forest mismanagement? Both?
Does it matter, especially if you have asthma, heart and/or lung conditions or other pre-existing ailments that make the current air quality unbearable? How has the smoke affected you this week?
And should enforcement on open fires be especially vigilant in times like this, rather than the usual "complaint-driven" response?
Should City of Prince George bylaw officers be enforcing the fire bans on the unhoused populations living in Millenium Park, Moccasin Flats and elsewhere in the city? And if so, how?
