In response to Wally Neufeld's letter announcing to everyone that he is straight, I would note that the city does not hold parades... volunteers organize them.
We have had a May Day Parade for over 80 years organized by the Elks Lodge and they are very much in need of volunteer support.
I suggest that Wally volunteer to help the Elks.
He could build a wonderful Straight and Proud float for next year's parade, and encourage "all others who are similarly inclined" to help him and participate.
