On behalf of survivors of brain injury and their families we want to express our appreciation for The P.G. Citizen's recent articles and editorial about brain injury. You have done more good than you can imagine. Thank you too for your positive comments about the wonderful staff at P.G. BIG. They are indeed the best of the best.
But I'd like to clarify that it was a small group of family members, led by Carole Bellamy, who started P.G. BIG. When families work together they have great power to influence systems as well as people. These individuals, who chose to improve the lives of their own sons and daughters by improving the services available locally for all people living with an acquired brain injury deserve the appreciation of us all. They are our heroes.
