I have gone to the fair every year since as far back as I can remember.
This year I went on Wednesday and Thursday.
I am a disabled person and I use a mobility scooter to get around. The electrical wires used at the fair have a metal cover on them and when I tried to get over the bump it created I almost tipped over. When I tried to address the problem with a worker near the BCNE office, I was told I was not telling the truth.
I approached the manager of the midway and she was very kind and sympathetic to my problem.
She and I went over to the office together only to be turned away again.
On Thursday I noticed several seniors struggling to go over the bump the electrical wire cover created. That puts those who have disabilities at risk for injury.
The fair is not only for able-bodied people, it is for everyone.
There needs to be improvements made so that is safe for everyone to attend the fair.
