I wholeheartedly agreed with David N. Moffat where he wrote that UNBC should not discriminate against conservatives.
I believe our university should be active in recruiting conservative students.
When I entered university I was a rabid conservative.
My favourite author was Ayn Rand. I was a critic of social security as a symptom of the hated "creeping socialism." By the time I completed four years of exposure to a wider world of ideas I was a socialist myself.
Exposure to education does not always work this way, but students of all stripes should be exposed to new ideas so within four years they can choose their own politics rather than mindlessly adopt those of their elders.
