"So many people rarely venture outside what they know and have no idea what they are missing out on," says Josh Staub, outdoor enthusiast and Licensed Practical Nurse at Northern Health.

"Prince George has so many great things going for it, so I want visitors to experience and see the best of it - see the positives as I do every day." He's excited to be featured on takeonPG.com for this reason.

"Without question, the thing I love most about Prince George is the accessibility of the outdoors. You can go from downtown to fantastic bike trails, cross country ski trails or beautiful snowshoe paths in minutes. Not many places can boast this. Factor in the amazing hikes offered east toward McBride, reasonable driving distances to Williams Lake and Burns Lake (top notch mountain biking destinations) and Prince George is rare indeed." An accomplished cyclist, Josh is very involved with the Prince George Cycling Club.

Having spent 31 of his 36 years in P.G., Josh has explored all corners of the city: some of his favourite activities include downhill biking and trail building at Pidherny (No. 5), snowshoeing (No. 252), taking his dog Torch to Ginter's (No. 19) and floating down the Nechako River (No. 146).

Happy to call Prince George home for good, Josh speaks fondly about the place where he grew up: "To me, Prince George life is without equal. We truly have the best of all worlds."
