Re: Kathi Travers column.
First of all, allow me to say that I do not condone President Trump's inappropriate language that she refers to and that has dominated the media for the last several days.
However, I find it difficult to understand the literary justification by Kathi to use equally offensive language like "Republican cohorts" or "swamp inhabitants" or Hillary Clinton's justification of referring to almost 50 per cent of U.S. citizens (which Kathi seems to endorse} as a "basket of deplorables."
Does the media think they have the literary licence to allow them to be the condemmers or justifiers of right and wrong speech?
