It seems to me that real electoral reform is required when the un-elected can be sworn in to positions like prime minister or premier. So much for democracy. The swearing in of Christie Clark as B.C.'s Premier is just one more example of the truth of the following statement: "The two greatest obstacles to democracy are, first, the widespread delusion among the poor that we have democracy and second, the chronic terror among the rich that we may get it."
