It was brought to our attention at Spruce City Wildlife Association that the public dock at Eena Lake was removed.
This dock was paid for and put in place by Freshwater Fisheries using our license dollars, to encourage more people to get out and enjoy the resources in our own backyard.
Understandably, we were disappointed to hear this and immediately reached out to see if we could reach a resolution and advocated on the behalf of all stakeholders.
Through phone calls and emails, we are happy to report that this dock will be replaced within the next two weeks.
In order to ensure that no issues come out of this replacement, users are requested to observe and report any potential violations out there regarding littering, excessive noise, or poaching of fish to the Conservation Officer Service.
We encourage area residents to contact us to address concerns and appreciate the willingness of all stakeholders to come to a satisfactory conclusion to this situation.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention - we look forward to seeing pictures of this dock in use once again.
