I read your editor's piece on Trump in the Victoria Times Colonist and have seen a couple of letters since calling Godbout out on his rebuke of Trump's support for Nazis.
I see, as I found your local website, that he is likewise getting flak in Prince George.
Thought I would go to the source rather than my own newspaper, where your columns occasionally appear. You deserve to hear this directly. Few have written the truth with such clarity. Trump deserves no benefit of the doubt whatsoever. His political career is littered with casualties of truth and his pointed dog whistle support for Nazi sympathizers are naked to anyone who cares to follow the arcs of history. As many of even his own party now admit, the man is unfit for office.
The only thing he could possibly say to make good on his pathetic excuses is "I resign."
You, Mr. Godbout, keep your job. Your newspaper, and those that take advantage of your work, still need you.
