Prince George Grand Prix.

This was held on July 6 on the Hart Highway from Fifth Avenue to the Chief Lake Road junction.

Heavy rain added to the suspense. I found that the drivers fulfilled their fantasy of being professional race car drivers under the most adverse condition. Passing and lane changing without fear for life or limb to be in the lead as they passed the turnoff to Timmy's at the intersection.

My only regret is that I did not have a dash camera so that I could turn over the memory card to the RCMP, who I am sure would have followed up with charges as they did in the Vancouver riot.

How there were no contacts in any of the exhibits of supreme driving skills in maximizing speed and executing impossible passes in very heavy rain is beyond me.

I survived and will return with much trepidation.
