Drivers determine highway safety record

I drive Highway 16 west daily. Until people slow down and drive according to the road conditions a there will be more loss of life. Just an example of one of the poor drivers out there. Friday morning at approximately 6 a.m.

I drive Highway 16 west daily. Until people slow down and drive according to the road conditions a there will be more loss of life.

Just an example of one of the poor drivers out there.

Friday morning at approximately 6 a.m. I was on the highway going to work.

There was truck behind me and, as we passed Jutland Road, this driver decided to pass me on a solid line just as we were approaching the Welcome to Prince George sign. As the driver approached the corner a vehicle was just coming around the corner.

This person did not care, the only care he had was to get by me. Believe me, that person was above the speed limit.

I have had other close calls on this highway. Once there was a blizzard and I was driving according to the road conditions and people became impatient and passed me.

People become worse drivers when it's snowing. Some don't drive to the conditions of the roads, but decide they need to speed up.

Yes, I agree the highway is not safe, but there are lots of highways that are not safe.

It's the drivers that make the highways safe or not.
