Prince George merchants and city council are always pushing to come shop downtown, so Thursday, Jan. 18, some of us went to check out downtown and the shops.
We found the shops were great, restaurants great, but to our surprise and much frustration, the streets and sidewalks were atrocious, completely unbearable for a senior or wheelchair to get around safely.
Then putting a time limit on how long you can park down there is completely defeating the shop downtown experience.
We have some great features downtown but our experience with the sidewalks, streets and time limit will keep us away until summer.
