In light of the recent fires in town, I have been thinking about those who lose their belongings, and those who donate to them. Over the years we have seen many generous people come forward. We have also seen that uncomfortable moment when the victims have to ask that certain items no longer be sent, as they have what they need. I truly believe that we would all benefit from a Fire Donation Centre. People could donate at any time (as they do to thrift stores). What we need of course, is a warehouse. If it could be set up like a store, the victims could go through it all and look for what they need. I don't have the space, or even a truck, but I am willing to work on this project with anyone who would also like to take it on.
