This morning, December 26th, our day was made because of the thoughtfulness of Constable E. Karl of our local RCMP detachment.
Having been unintentionally involved with a stranger's cruelty to a dog that was reported to the RCMP, I ended up taking the animal home.
Ownership was not known but on a winter morning there was no way our family was going to let him wander the cold streets.
Keeping the fellow with us was difficult as our two dogs were not about to receive a stranger without a great deal of fuss.
The problem was solved after Constable Karl very kindly offered to take charge of the dog until he could be turned over to the SPCA.
It is seldom that we take the time to publicly acknowledge the many thoughtful acts our RCMP perform for us. A big thank you from the Paterson family.
