Do not let their service be forgotten

We shall always remember those who served to preserve our freedom, some are now gone but the walking wounded are still with us in life.

We shall always remember those who served to preserve our freedom, some are now gone but the walking wounded are still with us in life.

The men and women who will be in the front row at the Remembrance Day service as well as the many others all over our country and still in foreign lands must not be forgotten either.

They carry nightmares in their sleep and horrors in their hearts and minds that we can not even imagine. Some are physically wounded as well. They are our heroes, they need our support now more than ever. May they never more feel forgotten.

Some say, "It was their choice to sign up." For some it was a choice but for all it was an honour. Without their choice and sacrifice we would not be free today to enjoy the lives we have.

My son (was a Navy SEAL) and my dad (was in the Korean War) they are amongst the walking wounded.

Until you have been close to these people, hear of the horrors that raise to the top once in a while, you can't even begin to fathom their pain. They stuff it for years sometimes, and it exhibits itself in many forms.

They don't mean to lash out in anger and rage, but they don't know how else to deal with it. We can help by being patient, understanding and remembering what they've been through that has injured them so, but most importantly remember them in your prayers.

I thank each and everyone of you for your selfless sacrifice and the families who sacrificed as well.

You are not forgotten.
