When anyone in public employment acts in a scandalous, biased, duplicitous or dishonest manner it primarily indicates an impairment or lack of a sense of good judgment and the public has both a democratic and employers right to be promptly informed however disconcerting it may be to any particular person.
If in corporate employment then shareholders have the very same right to have such information to consider as the results of a lack of a sense of good judgment often tend to get worse.
I have no doubt our courts would unequivocally support them firing every employee who concealed such information from them and support any who divulged it.
However poor Skakun has now put our justice system in a position where the firm principles it embraces are now seen as limber as my 80-year-old organ and mocks our Charter of Rights and Freedoms claim that we are all equal before and under the law.
Could it be that position on the approved list for appointments to higher Courts and better pay might have a bearing on the decisions of presiding judges? Impossible.
As those in the legal profession are rarely known for acting in any but their own best interests and as the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act promises to be a gold mine for lawyers, I suspect they will stumble around in the legal fog they created themselves and pretend to be meting out protracted justice in our expensive Court system until they retire.
(I can't wait to see a profitable work producing popular new selectively enforced law against nose-picking in public. )
I hope saucy Brian connects on Lotto Max soon or else he may have to start practicing his delivery of "Yes Sir" 200 times each evening and get part time work at the Golden Arches.
As it will soon be the time when we only fleetingly remember all those who fought and often died in war for our right to vote and express ourselves we might wonder how much we really respect such principles today.
If it turns out to be not at all then we really also lack the courage to reduce our cenotaphs to rubble and use them for landfill. Disgusting!
