Disappointed by prayer breakfast's lack of inclusion

I have lived in Prince George for about a year-and-a-half and last Thursday I attended the mayors prayer breakfast at the Civic Centre.

I have lived in Prince George for about a year-and-a-half and last Thursday I attended the mayors prayer breakfast at the Civic Centre.

This was the second prayer breakfast I have attended and my understanding is the prayer breakfast is to pray for the leaders in our community. I am very disappointed in the fact there was no one there from our First Nations, Sikh, Muslim, Buddhist or any other community represented at the breakfast.

I am almost certain that, though they are not Christians, they do pray and my understanding is we are all part of the community of Prince George. What does it say when we do not include everyone in our community at a prayer breakfast? What does it teach our children about tolerance? I am very disappointed in the organizers of the prayer breakfast for not praying for all the leaders in out community and leaving out such a vital part of who we are as a nation.

I will not attend another prayer breakfast until it includes all of our community.
