My wife and I are spending a couple months in Palm Desert and have really enjoyed reading the new Prince George Citizen digital edition. It's a bit amazing how small the world has become, reading newspapers from home, watching Olympic events on the Web and Sling box.
The other amazing thing is how similar the issues are. Headlines from The Desert Sun: "Desert Sands Unified School District - Pay cuts, shorter school year considered" and "Council (Cathedral City) to vote next week on tax proposal - Voters would have to OK 11.4 per cent hike in sales tax to help cash-strapped city".
