So I am glad to see the city is finally deciding to put a crosswalk at 15th and Quinn. Kudos to you.
I am sure you have noticed by now that is a very busy road. I personally have seen people waiting at uncontrolled crosswalks in town while the cars zoom past them.
The only way to get across is to say a prayer and take a step. Often times one lane of traffic will stop while the others don't and the person is trapped in the middle of the road.
Even the pedestrian-controlled walkway at Nicholson and 15th is dangerous as many drivers are to distracted to realize there is a red light there and either brake at the last minute or go right on through.
I think before the city considers an uncontrolled crosswalk they had better figure out how to stop the vehicles on 15th first. Otherwise it will continue to be safer to jaywalk.
