On Wednesday, my dear neighbour was struck by a motor vehicle at about 5 p.m. on 10th and Winnipeg while trying to cross the street and died later in the hospital.
It is so dark and there is no crosswalk. There are so many seniors in this area including the Seniors Centre on 10th Avenue. Victoria Street is also a nightmare for seniors to cross on the way to the library, Civic Centre, Four Seasons Pool and downtown. There should be not only a crosswalk but a pedestrian activated light on 10th and Victoria.
