I am always amazed at Prince George drivers. People are so impatient they cannot wait a few seconds or minutes to be courtious thus jepardizing the safety of other people on the road.
My daughter has always been aprehensive to get her drivers license. With grad and the prospect of having to become independent, she decided at the age of 18 that she could not put it off any longer. I took the route of enrolling her in driving school to help her gain the confidence that she needs.
The vehicles that the schools use are very well marked with company and "Student Driver" decals on them to make people aware there is a new driver in the car.
During a lesson she was rear-ended hard, after hesitating to pull out onto a busy street. Anyone that has been in an accident knows that it is a very scary experience even if you have been driving for years.
The driver of the vehicle that hit her got out of his truck and yelled at her. The instructor that was with her quickly got between them to spare my daughter from more trauma.
This letter is just a heads up, you do not own the road, you share the road when driving. When you see student drivers, be courteous and give them the room and patience they need to become confident drivers. Because of this person my daughter may never drive, she was afraid to learn and now with this horrible experience I may never get her behind the wheel again.
