I am glad to see the amount of repairs to our roads this year and last. I have even heard comments that our pothole situation is better. I am sorry to see that quality was not enhanced as well. By that I refer to manhole covers and valve covers that are well below street level thus becoming built in potholes. It is disappointing to drove down one of our newly repaired streets and 'bang' over a deep set manhole cover when some planning could have also alleviated that condition. Also as the pavement often fails around manhole/valve covers a little extra care on those locations would be well spent.
