I attended the Prince George Cougar vs. Kamloops Blazers hockey games this past weekend.
The games were as exciting and entertaining to me as the few NHL games I have attended.
The most important aspect of these games was the feeling of community pride created not by just these two games but by all the activities created by the new owners. The new Cougar owners got a team that we were somewhat ashamed of.
They have moved it to a team we are proud of and with this they are creating an increase in community pride.
Discussing this with some friends we feel this is the best thing that has happened in ten years to bolster community pride.
We all owe our gratitude to the new owners and it is important we increase our support.
