I'm writing in regards to the bridge to be built to replace the old one that was washed out in Cottonwood park.
As a frequent user of these trails we are glad to see it finally happening, however the cost of $369,000 strikes a cord with me. Just wondering if anyone ever gave any thought to building a suspension bridge similar to that of the Capilano suspension bridge.
I sure don't think it would cost that much to put in four steel posts, some cables and decking, and they could build it high enough that it wouldn't ever wash out.
Just an idea, or is that a dumb idea?
