As a season pass holder to the Prince George Spruce Kings I'd like congratulate team on its great season.
For a team who just a few years ago finished the season with just twenty-four points, this year had seventy. That to me is a winning season.
This year I watched a team night after night come to play with their hard hats and lunch buckets and played 60 minutes of hockey to entertain their fan base. They didn't quit.
I enjoyed seeing the fan base increase which I'm sure will average out to a thousand plus fans per game this year. The Coquitlam Express Coach even mentioned the crowd noise which he had to endure at the fifth play-off game. I'm looking forward to being part of the bell section again next season.
These young men are and have been great ambassadors for the city of Prince George. Their volunteer work inside this city goes many times unnoticed. The organization and players raise many dollars annually for the disadvantaged people of the city.
The 24 home games last year as a season ticket holder cost me under seven dollars per game. A bargain in any language. You can't go to a movie for less than that. The drama and the excitement is there for 60-plus minutes.
This year we are only losing five players because of age, so next year the outcome maybe even better. Go Kings Go
