I have read many different dog stories in my community. I also have a shepherd lab cross who is very friendly.
A couple years ago there was a pit bull that chewed up my dog very badly and because we are a low income family had doctored our dog so she would live. To our great abilities she did.
I feel for the family that lost their dog to this shooting. As I know the dog as she played in our yard with our dog.
Dogs are like our children when they are so friendly and have many friends they hang around with.
We will be watching more carefully for people in the area who do not care for dogs or mistreating them.
For the family that lost their dog a year or so ago from the pit bull I hope you found peace. I believe that the pit bulls are now gone. I have not seen them around for sometime.
We as a community need to be a watchful eye for everyone whether it be our pets or family members.
May peace come to those families that have lost a great joy and companion. Yes our pets are like our children.
