Gerry Chidiac points out that you can achieve much more with a compliment than with a criticism.
My compliments to The Citizen for some very good articles - informative and logical. Just what I like to read with a coffee in the morning - the reason why I subscribe to The Citizen.
I was wondering where the Prince George water supply came from and another good article by Eric Allen clarified that. Eric's transportation background is obvious and it appears he spent much time reviewing the 87 page report. Now I don't need to go though it.
Good incorporation of Eric's column by Neil Godbout into his editorial on fear and risk tolerance.
I really appreciated the two letters supporting the police in their handling of the car thieves. As a guy who once spent a night in the "drunk tank" I now ask myself a very simple question whenever I hear of police brutality.
That question is "if those people had acted respectfully towards the police officers, would this report be in the media?" It is extremely rare that the police will provoke a confrontation.
Since my negative experience, back in the '70s, I have adopted the attitude of responding with respect when I am pulled over by a police officer. I have never received anything but respect in return.
I like the Town Proud section.
You also had an article on the proper handling of food. Good - timely report.
I have followed the proscribed procedures and haven't had that "24 hour flu" for more than 30 years.
