Comments are nothing short of uneducated

Mr. Simmons. Your comments regarding musical acts coming to Prince George are nothing short of uneducated. Do some homework please.

Mr. Simmons. Your comments regarding musical acts coming to Prince George are nothing short of uneducated. Do some homework please. If you believe shows like Shinedown, Mastadon? Stone Sour, and Avenged Sevenfold would "sell out" or come close to selling out the CN Center, you are sorely mistaken.

It has been proven throughout the years that Prince George and surrounding area does not support rock shows the way other cities of similar size do. For example, just last year, 2 major rock acts (both of which had never been to P.G.) came through town, Papa Roach and Buckcherry, with another up-and-coming Canadian band The Trews. The show only sold about 3,000 tickets and they were not even expensive (about $35 to 40). And sorry Mr. Simmons, but Iron Maiden? Are you kidding me? They still sell out major stadiums. Sorry to burst your bubble but they don't even know where P.G. is, let alone care about playing a show here to 5,500 people. The last rock show to even come close to selling out the CN Center was Nickelback and that was at least four years ago. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge rock fan. That's my kind of music, but I'm also a realist. Just saying, don't be shocked when Meatloaf sells more than 4,000 tickets to his show. He's legendary, and people will come. Trust me, the people will come.
