What does it mean when the president of the United States does nothing when Russia attacks the county's democratic election?

What does it mean when he calls a legal act by the FBI to raid his personal lawyer's premises "an attack on our country in a true sense" and "a total witch hunt."

What a stupid, illogical statement! They did not raid the White House. It was his personal lawyer.

Michael Cohen is quoted as saying to CNN that: "I am unhappy to have my personal residence and office raided. But I will tell you that members of the FBI that conducted the search and seizure were all extremely professional, courteous and respectful."

The Washington Post reported the FBI took his phone, personal computer and bank records. He is being investigated for possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations. Both flaunt the law.

Cohen is the self-professed "fixer" attorney for Trump and the keeper of many confidences. He has a reputation for using bullying tactics, matching Trump's own tactics. He is a long-time member of Trump's inner circle. He confirmed the Stormy Daniels scandal when he admitted he paid her $130,000 from his pocket to muzzle her information of her one-night stand with Trump prior to his presidency.

Enquiring minds began wondering where the money came from and how it was recorded during the candidacy. Are tax deductions available for one-nighters? Is it legal malpractice or a campaign violation?

I am at wits end with the continuing corruption by this U.S. president. It was once a decent country. Trump truly believes he is above the law, condemning the raid and suggesting that the offices were "broken into."

Everything was done to the letter of the law. The search warrant was a valid move by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, who is also a Republican who made large campaign contributions to Trump. This is one of the most recent issues of bi-partisanship that I have seen. We might finally be getting somewhere.

Comparing Trump's actions to Nixon's controversies over Watergate, John Dean, Nixon's White House Counsel bluntly said: "Trump is Nixon on steroids and stilts."

Then there is the revolving door at the White House - 34 per cent staff turnover in Trump's first year; 17 per cent under Reagan and nine per cent under Obama. It is difficult to find "yes" people.

What is happening in Syria is horrendous. Last week Trump wanted to pull all troops out. Today he has different thoughts. Is Trump using Syria as a distraction for his lies?

Madeleine Albright, the first female secretary of state, thinks Trump is the most undemocratic president she has ever seen. She goes on: "He makes continuous tweets about how he is going to do this and that without any strategies."

Syria presents a complex situation as does the planned meeting with North Korea's Kim Jong-un. These are not issues to be discussed on Twitter. Serious deliberations and brain power is required. This man has no such capacity. There is no understanding of what it takes to be president of a country, let alone a world power. That man will never get it. He is incompetent.

Many attack me for such comments about Trump. You are Canadians, so you don't know what it's like to feel the disdain and embarrassment that most Americans feel. We were taught about pride of country. That is eroding under Trump. Not one American that I know in P.G. supports Trump's disgustingly stupid behavior and lies.

A very close friend in P.G. is anti-American. I am the only 'thing' American she likes. She is also concerned about Trump's behavior in relation to Canada.

I have another acquaintance who turns off the TV when American politics are discussed because he feels that they don't affect Canada. What happens in the U.S. affects the entire world, especially its neighbors. We all better be concerned about America's biggest bully, Donald J. Trump.

There are people in Puerto Rico who still do not have water or power. What is Trump doing about that? Absolutely nothing! His priority has been and continues to be himself.
