In regards to the "legalized grave diggers" in "Fort George Park" now with a new label, to acknowledge publicly the purchasing of a graveyard by so-and-so. Right from 1913 to now, it is still desecration of ancestors.
Who in their right mind would purchase or steal, better yet "expropriate" a graveyard? Canada was built on legalized racism, via the Indian Act. I'm not a poor, disgruntled "Indian" but a proud survivor as a Gitxsan. The type of loose jargon I read this morning is a prime example of colonialism in Canada today. Society has their ways of trivializing the inhumane treatment of native people. To me, in the academic sector, it does not matter how thin you slice balogna, it is still balogna.
