Cold reception for fans at Coliseum

On Nov. 27 I went to a hockey game Prince George Spruce Kings and the Langley River men. When I arrived at my seat the building was cold the staff had not turned the heaters on.

When I arrived at my seat the building was cold the staff had not turned the heaters on. I have been a season ticket holder for a number of years and this is not the first time this has been a problem. I, as well as others, have complained about this on-going problem.

Senior managers whom are paid very handsomely by we the taxpayers don't seem to be able to design a checklist to prevent this problem from recurring.

In 2015 we are going to host the Canada Winter Games. The coliseum will be used for events. People who travel to this city and get frozen out of the coliseum after paying dollars to attend events and stay in our hotels. They are never going to want to return to Prince George in the future.

British Columbia relies heavily on tourism as part of its revenues. There may have been visitors in the crowd on Wednesday night who may have been thinking of attending the winter games. If they're not going to be greeted with a warm environment do you think they will be back?

Starting now we have put our best foot forward.
